Company History

Jim Chandler and his brother founded WaterSoft, Inc. in 1980 and purchased the water-treatment division of the F.E. Myers Pump Company in Ashland, Ohio. With intense focus and investment in research and development, the company developed a lineup of patented and proprietary systems that solve tough water problems without the use of costly chemicals. The brothers sold the company to a leading manufacturer of water-storage tanks, AMTROL, in 1988.

In the 1990s, Jim began to investigate the unique water-related problems faced by dental practitioners and founded Vista Research Group. This company developed a complete line of innovative water treatment, purification and wastewater management solutions for the dental industry. Through strategic partnerships with some of the industry’s largest distributors, Vista Research Group became the premier manufacturer of water-processing systems sold by dental dealers throughout the United States and Canada. The company was acquired by Crosstex International, Inc., the Dental division of Cantel Medical (NYSE:CMD), in 2019.

Vista Water Group retained its VistaCheck® and DrainHub® products for their broader application in the plumbing market. Today the company is focused on continually improving and expanding these product lineups, and introducing new products to help customers achieve compliance more conveniently and cost effectively.

All Vista Water Group products are proudly manufactured in the USA.
